Cut off the FUNDING, you idiots! Osama bin Laden and fifteen of the terrorists involved in the September 11th attacks were from Saudi Arabia, one of the richest countries in the world, so, naturally, we're bombing the snot out of Afghanistan, one of the poorest countries in the world. It makes a sick kind of sense, actually, when you realize that American politicians would never do anything to offend the filthy, stinking rich - no matter how many innocent lives it cost. Get real, guys, all we're doing in Afghanistan is the tactical equivalent of picking fleas off a dog. If you really want to put an end to terrorism, you have to cut off the FUNDING. Cut off the funding, and this "Jihad" nonsense will quickly be reduced to a few weird looking guys stinking up a cave half-a-world away. Let them squat around campfires hating Americans all they want. As long as they can't afford to do anything about it, WHO CARES? I mean, seriously, take a look at the Taliban. They can't even afford basic personal hygiene items (soap, razors, flea collars). The Taliban would have to club together to buy a bus ticket, and the September 11th crowd were all flying first class. We are talking SERIOUS OIL MONEY here! Who do you think is funding all of those "Islamic fundamentalist" type schools throughout the Middle East, where children are taught to hate Americans? How many Americans are going to have to die before our politicians finally admit that the "Oil Sheiks" (OPEC) who are pumping money into their campaign coffers are also are buying respectability in the Arab world with the lives of the innocent victims of terrorist attacks. The heck of it is, ironically, WE are the ones who actually funded the attack on the World Trade Center, etc. We did it with every grossly overpriced gallon of gas we pump into our tanks. Think about it! Back when gas was 19.9 cents a gallon (I'm very old), you never heard squat about terrorism. There was no shortage of people who hated Americans (there never is), they just couldn't afford to do anything about it. The way I figure it, everything over, say, 39.9 cents gallon is going to fund terrorism. If we start putting the ordnance where it belongs, and cluster-bomb the price of gas back to 19.9, this whole Islamic fundamentalist terrorism thing will quickly become a thing of the past. |
